Gil Vieira - EDISON GRAMOPHONE

GIL VIEIRA

🏛️ Edison Gramophone proudly presents one of its most complete artistic pillars: Brazilian musician, composer, and conductor Gil Vieira — a rare presence who naturally unites the rigor of classical tradition with the vitality of lived stage experience. An electric and acoustic guitarist, classical guitarist, arranger, music producer, and writer, Gil has built a personal language where technique, aesthetics, and meaning move as one. His trajectory reflects a wide vision of music: as craft, as art, and as emotional architecture, capable of crossing styles, venues, and generations without ever compromising the integrity of the musical gesture.

🎶 Beginning his studies in 1976 at the Academia Paulista de Violão, and later at the Conservatório Musical do Jardim São Paulo, Gil deepened his formation through guitar studies at Grupo Ama, learned principles of arranging, conducting, and musical aesthetics with professor and conductor João Bossa Nova, and refined his classical guitar technique with professor Luis Cláudio Ferreira. Over more than 40 years of career, he has worked across a remarkable range of musical worlds, from nightclubs to theatres, from studios to television, from cruise ships to conventions, bringing his artistry to settings as diverse as they are demanding. His international experience includes work in Paris, New York, and London, alongside the release of seven original albums and a Brazilian motivational book.

🎻 Since 1990, he has also maintained an active career as an electric and acoustic guitarist, freelancer, arranger, and producer for studio recordings and live shows, supported by a solid academic foundation: studies in Classical Guitar (Conservatório Jardim São Paulo), Composition and Conducting at the University of São Paulo (USP), a degree in Conducting from the Beethoven Conservatory, orchestral and symphonic band studies at the Carlos de Campos Tatuí Conservatory, and training as a Personal & Professional Life Coach through the Brazilian Coaching Society — broadening his artistic presence through leadership, human insight, and inner direction.
